Owned by Tom and Carolyn Cadier, Cedar Ridge Farm was designed originally as a fox hunting and thoroughbred training facility in 1991. The owners are members of Shakerag Hounds which is located in Hull, Georgia near Commerce.

The farm has evolved into an equestrian facility focused on the pursuits of classical riding. Eventing is a primary focus, with strong support of classical dressage and show jumping, as well as active participation in fox hunting.

There are currently and have been many students from the University of Georgia as boarders at the farm and Cedar Ridge Farm is a supporter of the University of Georgia Equestrian Team as well as the University’s Large Animal Teaching Hospital.

There is a revolving schedule of different trainers at the upper levels and/or Olympic levels of the classic disciplines that either give lessons or have clinics here on a regular basis.

The owners  are regular competitors and have owned an Advanced event horse formerly campaigned by Dutch rider Werner Geven. Esker Riada placed 16th at the 2006 Rolex Kentucky 4-Star Championship and was named to the Dutch eventing team for the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany.

Esker is now owned by a student of Phillip Dutton’s, Cayla Kitayama and having completed two 4-stars with Cayla he moved back to the farm for a semi-retired year.  He is now fully retired and living in Statesville, North Carolina.   Congrats on a stellar 4-star career with Werner Geven, and with Cayla.

Currently Carolyn has been training with Silva Martin, as well as with Phillip Dutton.  Both Carolyn and Tom just completed another week of summer training at True Prospect Farm in West Grove, PA with Phillip and Silva.  It was another effective session for all, and a great trip to a beautiful part of Pennsylvania.  Check the calendar for upcoming dates of lessons with Phillip, Silva, and other excellent upper level trainers that we have as associates and friends.  In addition, Phillip just successfully campaigned and sold a young horse for Carolyn, D-Day Vant Plantanenhof.

On occasion there are horses for sale that have been imported from Ireland, Germany or elsewhere, for a specific discipline.
